How to Care for Your CARVÉ Core Tee
Share
The current CARVÉ Core CV tee care instructions are simple: wash cool and hang dry. Start with those instructions and check the label inside your own garment for any additional guidance.
A repeatable routine makes looking after a printed tee easier. Here is how to approach washing, drying and storage without guessing at settings that the garment does not specify.
Read the label on the tee you own
Care instructions belong to the individual garment. Do not assume a hoodie, cap or an older T-shirt uses the same instructions as a current Core tee, even if the branding is similar.
The current Core tee listings describe lightweight 155gsm certified organic cotton and instruct you to wash cool and hang dry. This guide does not replace the sewn-in label. If the label provides a more specific temperature or restriction, follow it.
Prepare the wash
Check pockets on other items in the load and keep the tee away from exposed fastenings that could catch the fabric. Sort clothing according to compatible colours and care requirements, paying particular attention to new items that may release dye.
Turning a printed tee inside out can help reduce direct rubbing against the printed surface during washing. Avoid tightly packing the drum: the clothes need room to move and rinse.
Choose detergent suitable for the garment and use the amount advised on its packaging for your load and water conditions. More detergent is not a substitute for choosing the appropriate wash programme.
Follow the cool-wash instruction
Use a cool programme consistent with the garment label. Machine programme names vary, so check the selected settings rather than relying on a label such as “daily wash” or “cottons”.
If you are unsure which setting matches the garment's instructions, check your washing machine guidance or contact CARVÉ before proceeding. Avoid using a hotter wash as a quick fix for a mark.
Treat marks carefully
Start by checking both the garment label and the instructions on any cleaning product. Do not apply a treatment directly to the printed area unless it is suitable for that use.
Test a suitable treatment on an inconspicuous area first and avoid aggressive rubbing. Different stains need different approaches, so a single method should not be assumed safe for every mark or fabric colour.
Hang dry with care
Remove the tee from the machine once the cycle finishes and gently ease it back into shape without stretching it. Follow the instruction to hang dry, leaving enough space around the garment for air to circulate.
Support the tee in a way that avoids pulling the neckline or concentrating the weight on a small section of fabric. Allow it to dry completely before putting it away.
The current product instruction is hang dry. Do not assume a tumble-drying setting is suitable simply because it is described as low heat. Check the garment label before using any alternative method.
Check before ironing
If the tee needs pressing, consult the label for whether ironing is permitted and which setting applies. Do not place a hot iron directly on the printed design. If the instructions are unclear, ask before using heat.
There is no need to invent a universal ironing temperature: the garment's actual instructions are the reference.
Store it ready for the next wear
Put the tee away only when fully dry. Fold it neatly or use a suitable hanger that supports it without stretching the shoulders. Leave enough space that you do not have to pull it forcefully from a crowded drawer or rail.
Occasionally check seams and the printed area while folding. Spotting a small issue early makes it easier to decide whether it needs attention before the next wash.
The routine to remember
- Check the label on the exact garment.
- Prepare a compatible load and protect the printed surface.
- Wash cool using the appropriate machine settings.
- Hang dry and let the tee dry fully.
- Check before applying stain treatments or heat.
